Okay, there are a few food modifications, but I recently began walking 10,000 steps every day. I don’t always get to it, but it’s my aim, and everyone notices the weight loss.
The dietary modifications were that I ceased smoking marijuana a few months ago, but I noticed no difference in my weight as a result. I may have dropped 5 pounds of water weight at first, but since walking 10,000 steps every day, I’ve noticeably thinned out.
I tried doing 1200 calories a couple of weeks ago, and it was quite difficult, so I didn’t do it every day, but perhaps that triggered some of this???
I’m not sure why I feel so tiny, but I believe it’s because I’m walking so much. I work out and have been trying to lose weight through calorie tracking for years, but I work at a desk, so I don’t think the workouts are really helping. I suppose walking is exactly what my body needed because my diet hasn’t altered significantly. I’m wondering whether anyone has lost weight simply by walking more routinely.
Yeah, I wouldn’t say that walking helps me lose weight. I don’t eat while walking, so I eat less. It also helps me overcome depression, which avoids binge eating.
On the other hand, if you’re already in a deficit, going for a walk is a terrific way to “earn” some extra calories on the days when staying in the deficit feels most challenging.
Going for a two-mile walk to earn a vegetarian wrap is a terrific way to remain on track when I’m hungry despite meeting my calorie targets (often around a 700-calorie loss each day).
Walking has been my primary form of exercise while on a 1000-calorie deficit, and I only began doing it consistently after I was 50-60 pounds down. I’m not sure if it’s helped me lose weight, but I really enjoy it. My regular lengthy stroll is my personal time. I put on my favourite music that gets me going (upbeat screamo) and walk for 1-2 hours. It has significantly improved my stamina and cardiovascular health. I have RA mostly in my knees, and as I lose weight and become more consistent in my activity, my pain has decreased significantly.
Walking is one of the most efficient weight-loss workouts. High intensity aerobic workouts do waste more energy per minute, but they are significantly more difficult and occasionally dangerous to maintain than walking at a moderate speed.
However, even walking can help you shed a lot of weight. If you don’t eat more than your maintenance calories, you could lose weight even if you spend the entire day in bed.
Every day, I walk at least five miles. I listen to audiobooks and try to plan routes that take me into nature. It definitely helps me lose weight. The great impact it has had on my mental health has made other aspects of weight loss, such as consistently eating healthily, much easier.
