Are bananas bad for weight loss?

Do bananas hinder weight loss efforts? I just ask because I keep seeing these ads that list the top 5 foods to avoid eating if you want to lose weight on the side of health websites. Every time, they display an image of a banana. I have lost 35 pounds in 8 weeks, therefore I don’t seem to have that problem, even if I consume three to four bananas per week.

Bananas are quite beneficial for weight loss. They are high in fiber, which helps you feel full and satisfied, potentially reducing your overall calorie intake. A medium banana contains about 105 calories and provides essential nutrients like potassium, vitamin B6, and vitamin C.

The idea that bananas are bad for weight loss likely stems from their natural sugar content. However, the sugars in bananas are balanced by their fiber content, which slows digestion and helps maintain stable blood sugar levels.

Well, according to Weight Watchers, bananas have zero points. Eating bananas didn’t make me obese, therefore I don’t see any issues with consuming them.
