Cardio: Before or After Weights?

Hey folks,

I’m trying to optimize my gym routine and wondering whether it’s better to do cardio before or after lifting weights. What’s your take on this? Any personal experiences or tips on how to structure workouts for maximum effectiveness?

Hello Sam, For optimal results, it’s generally recommended to do cardio after weight training. This sequence helps preserve energy for lifting weights and ensures muscles are not fatigued before strength exercises.

It all depends on your objectives and preferred timing.

I personally begin my gym routine with 20 minutes of cardio. primarily because I want to finish cardio because I find it boring in the gym. If I waited until the last minute, I would undoubtedly find a reason not to do it and continue doing heavier workouts.

Depends on your goals. If you’re looking to build muscle, do cardio after lifting or at a different time entirely.
