I’m a 24-year-old woman, 153cm tall, and currently weigh 77kg.
I was in a super stressful job that took a toll on me, and my weight went from around 65-66kg up to 83kg pretty quickly. I started a slow-paced diet a few months back, got down to 75kg, but gained 2kg again when things got intense at work. I’ve just left that job and now have a month off before starting my new one.
I want to slim down as much as I can in this month. I know that slow and steady is probably best, but since I’m home and have time, I’m open to some more intense dieting ideas.
I know extreme diets aren’t exactly healthy, but I’d like to hear about any weight loss methods you’ve tried. I’m willing to try a strict diet, even if it’s low-calorie or something like a juice cleanse. I can take supplements for vitamins if needed. Any thoughts?
Losing that much weight in a month is a lot to aim for… maybe try not to go over 5kg. Add protein to every meal, like around 30g, and a protein shake can help too. Stick with whole foods, try to limit carbs (but not cut them completely since they’re essential), and track all your food. A calorie tracking app can really help. Drink plenty of water, at least 1.5 liters. Good luck.
Trying to deal with stress by going on a starvation diet isn’t a healthy path. It can lead to a cycle that’s really hard to break. It’d be better to eat well, exercise, and get enough rest. You’ll be in a much better mindset when you start your new job.
I’m also 153cm, and I used to weigh 67kg. I lost about 15kg in two to three months, so dropping 10kg in a month is hard but not impossible. You’ll probably see some water weight loss, maybe 5-7kg. I did tons of cardio – two hours a day, lots of walking. Protein was a big part of my diet (meat, fish, legumes, eggs), and I cut sugar and salt completely. I ate around 1400-1500 calories. Just listen to your body and keep moving.
