Hi peeps, I’m about to begin my weight loss journey, but I’m not sure how I’m going to cope with eating differently. I am a 24-year-old female from the UK and currently weigh 15 stone. I’m a really fussy eater and I hate it. I don’t tend to try anything new and stick to things I like. I don’t know how I am going to do it. I feel like it’s going to be pure torture. If anyone has any advice, it would be much appreciated.
Even after losing fifty-seven pounds, I remain quite particular.
I made things healthier by using things I already liked. Buffalo chicken wraps, BLTs, quesadillas, nachos, tacos, beef and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken, and mac & cheese. I use center cut bacon, less cheese, lower fat hamburger meat, etc. as examples of how I make it healthier
Try meal prepping and making gradual changes. Substitute healthier options for your favorites and experiment with new recipes to find what you enjoy.
As long as I stay inside my calorie budget, I eat everything I want. Apart from that, I’m not choosy; I’ve never been a big fan of meat or fish. I schedule anything I’m yearning into my schedule. For instance, I’ve tracked my meals for the day centered around the York peppermint patty I intend to have because I’m craving chocolate today. I will caution you, though, that following a tight calorie-counting diet makes it harder to eat what you want. Since I don’t start off this low on calories (1260 a day), I have to weigh the things that will satisfy my cravings while still being nourishing and keeping me full. You could try my approach.
Hi,
Losing weight as a picky eater involves focusing on foods you like but in healthier forms, controlling portion sizes, gradually trying new flavors, planning balanced meals, staying hydrated, setting realistic goals, and possibly seeking advice from a dietitian.
Good news, you’re already eating plenty of food, you just need to eat less of it. You don’t need a new kitchen or any more money, eating less of what you’re eating now will actually save you money.
Your TDEE is 2400, which means if you eat 1900, you’ll lose 1 pound per week. Save the exercise for when you’re 200 pounds, in the mean time, grab a free calorie tracking app like MyFitnessPal and track what you’re eating.
