How I lost 34 kgs in 9 months... Can I do it too?

I wanted to share my story because I know there are many people out there asking themselves if they can really lose weight. Well, I’ve done it. I lost around 33-34 kgs since February this year, and I didn’t even plan to do it at first. I’m 36 years old and have a mostly sedentary job. I have a 6-year-old daughter, and she was part of the reason I made this change.

It started when I enrolled my daughter in tennis classes. I had to wait an hour every day for her, so I decided to take a walk instead of just sitting on the bench scrolling through my phone. At first, I just walked slowly, but over time, I started to push myself. I saw people of all ages walking fast, and it motivated me. I even tried to keep up with some older people who were walking quicker than I thought I could.

Within two weeks, I started seeing changes in my body. I bought a smart weighing scale, and that helped me track my progress. I began setting daily goals for my steps, starting with 5,000 steps and working up to 10,000. I made sure to walk every day, no matter the weather or my schedule.

Along with walking, I also focused on eating healthier. Now, after 9 months, I’m following a 1-meal-a-day plan, and I’m still losing fat.

So if you’re wondering if you can do this too; YES, you can. All it takes is consistency and control over your food intake. Just make sure you walk for at least one hour every day, and you’ll see results. Don’t worry about failing; just keep going.

Wow, that’s amazing. I also lost weight by walking for months last year. I lost about 16 kgs. I started tracking my weight and calories too. I would walk in parks and nearby areas, which helped keep things interesting. Walking helped me clear my mind and build patience. It even made me appreciate the beauty of everything around me. I also started eating healthier, saved money by avoiding fast food, and got better sleep. It’s really all about sticking to that daily routine.

I had to take a break because of some family stuff, but I’m planning to get back into walking next month. Thanks for sharing your story.

Everything sounds good except for that ‘1 meal a day’ part. It doesn’t seem like something I could stick with. But good job on your weight loss journey.

I get that. But once you get into a solid routine, you might not feel the need to eat more than once a day. Your body adjusts, and you’ll feel a lot more energized. Plus, it helps with things like clearer skin and more oxygen in your body. I think it’s worth a try once you hit your peak routine.

Great job. Thanks for sharing your experience.

This is really motivating to me.

Amazing work. You’re an inspiration to all of us.

Be careful with that 1 meal a day thing. It might work for now, but it could be bad for your long-term health. Make sure to take care of yourself.

But I love how consistent you are. That’s the key.

Thanks for sharing your story. It’s really encouraging.

This just goes to show how small changes add up over time. Once you get into a good habit, it’s so much easier to stick with it. I used to hate working out, but now I see it as something I have to do for my mental health. Unfortunately, I twisted my ankle recently and can’t exercise as much, which has been really frustrating, but I’ll get back into it once it heals.

This is such a great post. Thanks for sharing. You’re motivating so many people.
