How often do you weigh yourself and why?

I am curious about everyone’s approach to weighing themselves and the reasons behind it. I have found that weighing myself daily in the morning, after using the bathroom, and before consuming anything, works best for me in the long term.

I understand weight can fluctuate day to day, one day it might be 247, the next 246.6, and then 247.2 after that.

Initially, these fluctuations were discouraging, but I have been tracking my weight daily for the past month and a half. I find it fascinating to see the line graph with its ups and downs, yet overall, it trends downwards every week. It is also a great indicator of whether I have had too much salt, as those days usually show up on the scale.

How often do you weigh yourself, and what do you find most helpful about your routine?

I weigh myself weekly, typically on the same day and time. Consistency in this routine helps me observe trends without being distracted by daily fluctuations. One of the main benefits I find is being able to track long-term trends, which keeps me motivated in my health journey. Regular weigh-ins also help me stay accountable for my health choices and provide an opportunity for course correction.
