How can I reduce overeating while smoking? I’ve gained 12 pounds recently and want to regain control.
I smoke every day, and I found that the following two things assist the most:
Eat a large meal BEFORE you smoke or consume.
Get sparkling water for when you are high (carbonation makes you feel full, trust me, it works). I always drink Bubly or Perrier. It works miracles.
As a backup, if you really must eat, water-heavy fruit such as grapes, oranges, and watermelon are all wonderful.
If you are very hungry, you can set a timer for 20 minutes. Wait it out, and the feeling will usually pass.
I’ll start by stating that, although I use marijuana responsibly in a place where it’s legal, I’m not giving it up. Because I’m allergic, I also don’t drink, so this is comparable. For the weekend, I usually have one or two edibles.
My issue is that when I’m high, I get the worst munchies. I become hungry and, because I’m too comfortable, I also lose my self-control. I’ve stopped using at the moment while dieting, but it would be good to sometimes indulge in an edible without going overboard.
Does anyone know any tricks or coping mechanisms for quitting food when high?
Even though I only keep nutritious food in the house, I still consume enough during my high to surpass my daily caloric needs for the day. I had a whole roasted cauliflower the last time I was high.
