I’m a 21-year-old male, 5’6” tall, and currently weigh 218 pounds. My goal weight is 160 pounds. I’m working on getting back into a workout routine, but I’ve noticed that if I go over 30 minutes on the treadmill, I feel extremely tired afterward and lose my motivation to keep working out. To ease back into it, I’m currently doing 30 minutes of cardio each day. I’ve also incorporated some weight lifting into my routine using 12lb dumbbells, although I’ve noticed a decrease in my strength recently.
Besides exercise, I’ve reduced my daily calorie intake to 1500 and I’m focusing on incorporating more protein into all of my meals. I know that this will be a challenging journey, but I’m determined to become more comfortable in my body. I’m trying not to be too hard on myself, but it’s frustrating to see my progress decline. A few months ago, I was doing well with my workouts, doing pushups every day, and could do 20-30 pushups, but now I struggle to do even 5.
