They only contain 107 calories, so I track them in MyFitnessPal. Am I taking a risk here? Isn’t a calorie just a calorie?
I have a Kit Kat Chunky at work every other day because I often forget my lunch. But I’m still making progress. Everything’s okay.
All of the Hershey small bars—Kraken, Mr. Goodbar, Special Dark, or Hershey’s—have fewer than fifty calories. I can never, however, just eat one and be done. Usually, it begins with one, then I get to two, then three, and before I know it, I’m persuading myself that it wouldn’t harm to have one more.
Are the candies individually wrapped? I find it more difficult to overindulge in individually packaged goodies for some reason. With time, my desire for those kinds of treats usually wanes. Therefore, ensure that each time you consume one, it’s a true desire and not just something you do out of habit. You ought to be fine if you follow it.
I agree with all of the previous remarks. Enjoying a treat every now and then is acceptable as long as it remains just that—a treat. I’ve found that when I eat a treat while I’m really hungry, I usually overindulge. To avoid feeling that your only options are to be hungry or eat a tonne of Kit Kats, it’s preferable to have something healthy, like fruit or almonds (which can help minimise chocolate cravings).
