Posted about my mum’s Himalayan salt cleanse from a certain doctor on YouTube now she’s got another one from him…

She only lost 2oz with that colon cleanse but now she’s got another tip from him…

Cinnamon, paprika, black pepper, and honey… it supposedly burns belly fat fast and helps you sleep. She lost 2lbs a day from doing that one last night… but I’m not sure if it’s a real thing, what do you think?

It’s not a real thing. Weight loss comes from calories in - calories out.

It is a real thing.

#REAL STUPID

Have her try this diet.

It’s all B.S. just scams and gimmicks. If this kind of stuff worked, everyone would be thin and healthy.

I tried telling her that but she’s like ‘he’s a doctor, he knows what he’s talking about.’

@Jai
That’s part of the gimmick. Pay a ‘doctor’ to say something or the ‘doctor’ has some financial benefit if you follow their advice.

More than likely they are a Ph.D., not an M.D. or even a D.O.

@Reid
His name is Dr. Mandell but I can’t find anything on him.

I looked him up; he’s a chiropractor, which is what I would’ve guessed from your post.

I found his YouTube channel. I skipped through a couple of his videos, and he uses pseudoscience for his theories. He believes his ideas are correct, but the academic consensus says he’s wrong. He cherry-picks data from studies and claims them as the final word.

@Nico
An ad came up before his Himalayan salt video, and it was so mean, it said, ‘Who would want to marry a woman that size? She’s like Peppa Pig.’ And then it showed a woman cutting a banana saying, ‘This is how you lose weight quick :pensive:.’

I tried to send a link to a video about him, but the auto-moderator has it in a review state.

If they approve it, you’ll see it later.

But anyway, there are videos breaking down his stuff if you look for them. They might help your mom.

But basically, he’s a chiropractor pretending to be a doctor and selling nonsense.

@Reid
Oh, thank you. Can you DM me those videos?

The only reason any ‘cleanse’ juice would cause weight loss is if you replace solid food with it and it’s low enough in calories to make you lose weight OR (and more likely) it makes you crap your brains out.
