Question concerning progress

Hello everyone

I’ve had a query concerning progress. Some people believe that eating too many calories one day does not wreck everything; instead, they continue to lose weight the next day.

However, I’ve heard comments claiming that cheat days can undo a week’s worth of improvement! So, which is it? Ant thoughts?

How much you consume on cheat days and what your normal deficit is.

If you regularly have a calorie deficit of 500 calories, you will have a 3,000 calorie deficit after six days. If you eat 3,000 calories more than your maintenance level on your cheat day (which is simpler than you might believe), you’ll have offset the rest of the week.

You have to select your own schedule and period.

Personally, I find Monday mornings the best weigh-in days to record.

Just make sure there is weekly progress because there are too many variations in one day.

I give myself a cheat day every Saturday (my shortfall is approximately 600 calories each day), but I limit my cheat calories to no more than my maintenance calories based on my TDEE number. This appears to be helping with my slow and consistent weight loss of approximately.8-1lb per week. So far, so good.

I established a list of tasks I wanted to complete the next day. Then I questioned myself, “What items on this list are the most important?” That established the priorities for completing the list. I believe that if you prioritise the big things, the minor details will fall into place.

When the day is over, can you look in the mirror and ask yourself if you did everything you could to keep the world as good as it was this morning?

If the world ended tomorrow, is there anything you’d truly regret doing, and could you make it right?

Who are you, and what do you want?
