It’s only two pounds, but I’ve been trapped in the 190s for a month and 193 for two weeks. I had my weekly weigh-in yesterday and was 191. I’ve only been weighing in once each week.
I started at 275 and am 5’3. This has largely been diet modifications; I did not start exercising until two weeks ago. My cupboard is filled with snacks I used to binge on, and I’m not touching them. Every time I think I’m going to enjoy a treat, I end up not liking it because it tastes like cardboard and chemicals or is overly sugary. I had some potato chips yesterday, which was fine.
It’s been a gradual process since I lost 84 pounds. I’ve been modifying my diet by using 1% milk with protein drinks instead of 2% and reducing my portion sizes. I’ve also begun eating out less frequently.
I can’t exercise much because of chronic pain. I was walking slowly and steadily on the treadmill for twenty minutes before pushing too much and experiencing severe discomfort and limited mobility. After taking a break, I’m doing 15 minutes in the morning after breakfast, which is generally Greek yoghurt, and 15 minutes after lunch, which is usually chicken and canned vegetables like green beans and carrots. For dinner, I normally take a protein shake. I am getting some carbs in here and there.
My next objective is to reduce 100 pounds and reach 175 pounds before aiming for 150. It’s becoming annoying because my progress has stalled, but I took a progress picture yesterday and compared it to the only picture I have of myself at 275, and I look good. I’m pleased with my progress.
