I’ve been eating healthily and following a vegetarian diet since September 1st. Here is a list of groceries I purchase:

Oat flakes, fruits (apples, bananas, pears, dates), vegetables (tomatoes, cucumbers, onion, zucchini, leek, broccoli, green beans, peppers, and chicory), Lentils, Kidney beans, couscous Brown rice, brown spaghetti, brown bread, falafel, tofu, mozzarella, salad with white cheese, Greek yogurt, and eggs.

I fast intermittently, so I normally skip breakfast, and my lunch consists of a bowl of oats with hot water and some dates, one piece of whole grain bread, and half an apple.

Some days, I eat a fruit snack between lunch and dinner. My dinners are very simple. Usually, it’s just a variation of the vegetable base some starchy carbs + some protein. I just chop the veggies, put it in a pan with a bit of olive oil, add some tofu and boiled brown rice, and roast it for a bit. I also make a side salad with cucumber, tomatoes, and a bit of white salad cheese. I will add a boiled egg sometimes.

People who follow a vegetarian diet are more likely to lose weight than those who follow non-vegetarian diets, and vegans lose more than lacto-ovo vegetarians. Bananas are an excellent supplement to a well-balanced diet since they include a variety of essential nutrients and are high in fibre.
