Maybe you should do a combination of both. To build some muscle, you need to focus on weight training. However, unlike cardio, you need to have days on which you take a break to rest. You can skip a day to rest or find what works best for you, train two days and rest the third and fourth. In overall, doing both works perfectly fine to give best results.
