Although diet beverages such as Diet Coke and Pepsi are technically keto, they may not be the ideal option. What are your thoughts?
They contain caffeine and artificial sweeteners, so water is a healthier choice, but I believe there are many worse options, such as soda, which is high in sugar and is almost certain to contribute to obesity and diabetic disorders in the long run. Or energy drinks that contain too much caffeine to be considered safe in any way. I don’t think it’s the best option, but it’s also not a bad thing. I don’t drink soda very often, but when I do, it’s sugar-free, and I believe I’ve been fine. If someone drinks exclusively Diet Coke to the extreme, it may contribute to kidney stones, but in moderation, there are certainly more dangerous beverages and vices.
They are wonderful for cravings like sweet sweets and alcohol (I used to never touch soda but liked to drink and go out, and now I use soda as my special weekend treat" instead of wine or beer).
Lifesavers on a cut. Dr. Pepper zero sugar is undoubtedly the soda with the most similar flavour to the original. I find myself not drinking them while on maintenance calories. However, the high sodium content might make me feel like garbage at times, causing heartburn.
After sugar and water, artificial sweeteners are arguably the most studied food ingredients. Do not look at preliminary studies or doctoral dissertations that have not been peer reviewed. Do not sit through lengthy documentaries that do not delve into the science. If you decide to look into those documentaries, at least check the qualifications of any experts mentioned in them. Google their names. Learn how they know what they know. Google the studies they’re referencing.
I can’t drink them since any zero-calorie sweetener makes me quite sick. Even eating sugarless gum irritates my stomach.
However, I am not a fan of them due to the chemicals. I’m not a very organic, no processed anything type, but I don’t believe it’s good for your body.
I gave up wine, beer, coffee, fried meals, and numerous other vices. Diet soft drinks are a part of my life.
Sometimes I consider quitting those as well.
But I haven’t finished it yet.
Cherry Coke Zero, my lover, I drink every few days.
Also, all of my energy drinks are sugar-free.
I drank them. Personally, I believe that drinking them makes me want to eat more. Possible dehydration.
All excellent goods; I’ve been drinking them everyday for over 40 years and depended heavily on them while shedding 120 pounds in 12 months.
I lost 20 pounds while drinking diet Coke on a daily basis; just limit yourself to one or two, but try to stick with one. It definitely helps with sugar cravings, and it also helps me stick to my caloric deficit.
I love them. For me, there is no difference between a regular Pepsi and the Pepsi Max I drink, therefore I like having a “basically zero” variety. Obviously, water is better, but my only other addiction is coffee, so I believe it’s acceptable. I don’t have to be in perfect health; I enjoy indulging occasionally.
When I’m in a calorie deficit and have a sweet tooth, I see no reason to avoid diet drinks. I normally drink a caffeine-free Diet Coke or Pepsi, which helps if I’m hungry and want something sweet!
