What is everyone's opinion on the weight loss hula hoop trend?

Has anyone tried it on this forum? What thoughts do you have about it? Is it a hoax or does it genuinely function? Though I have observed some using it, I am not sure if it works in real life or if those who are utilizing it are just claiming that it does because they get paid to say so. I considered trying to buy it with my savings, but I don’t want to squander money on a useless item.

I hula hoop for about 5 hours a week using a 3 lb hoop. It’s been great for building core strength, but it’s not the most effective for weight loss. While it’s a fun hobby, it burns roughly the same amount of calories as walking.

If it’s not 90% diet, it’s probably a scam.
