What is your favorite/preferred meal monitoring app, and why?

I want to improve my nutrition tracking, yet everywhere I look, there are differing viewpoints on the best methods. I am currently using Yazio, and I am like it. But before I commit, I wanted to make sure there weren’t any better options out there. I’ve heard a lot of folks mention MyFitnessPal, Lose It, and a few others. I’m more concerned with staying healthy and meeting my weight goal. Which app is the most accurate in your opinion? I did download MFP, but it was quite confusing with a strange interface, so I erased it. I don’t mind paying a premium as long as the price isn’t ridiculous.

I use Google and the Notes app, lol. When I’m not using a pre-existing database of foods, it’s easier for me to document what I eat, and it removes any visuals that can trigger or upset me if I’m slightly over or under my target amounts. I keep things as simple as possible. Simply weigh your food and look up the calories in that amount on Google. :woman_shrugging:t4:.

I’m still a major admirer of MyFitnessPal. I have the premium subscription and 100% believe it is worthwhile. The food database includes practically everything I’ve ever encountered. It’s simple to include recipes for home-cooked meals. Easy bar scan for rapid logging. And I can easily modify my macronutrients by gramme or %.

I am really liking MacroFactor. I prefer not having to guess about my expenses and knowing that they will be updated throughout time. In addition, I frequently utilise the recipe tool, which feels intuitive. There is just enough functionality to keep things manageable. I believe it requires nutritional data every day and weight data at least once a week to function properly, although I may be mistaken.

Last summer, I downloaded a handful and experimented with them for a day or so. I ended up enjoying FatSecret the best because it supported barcode scanning and appeared to have a very large food database. So I chose it and have used it ever since.

To me, YAZIO is simply the greatest. It includes a free barcode scanner and can calculate calories and macros for free. It even includes excellent fasting features! The pro edition contains a wide range of recipes. Personally, I prefer it over MFP.

I use MyNetDiary. It is free, with the option of a premium subscription that includes various diets and recipes. I mainly use it to track calories and how much water I’m drinking, but it can also calculate BMI and has a weight tracking graph.
