What *really* assisted you in your weight loss?

Despite having a similar diet and lifestyle, I began gaining weight three years ago as a 23-year-old female. I no longer feel comfortable with who I am. After failing at every fad diet I tried, I decided to give intermittent fasting a try two weeks ago in the hopes of seeing some improvement. Has anyone else begun to put on weight in their twenties? What genuinely assisted you in achieving and keeping a healthy weight? Is IF a wise choice?

Immediately I turned 23, I couldn’t help it too. I gained around 33lbs by the time I was turning 25 years old.
Right now, I have managed to keep my weight at a certain threshold, but I am also an active swimmer so, I could say a lot of exercising
