I recently went to Red Robin with my family; it wasn’t my choice, and I was concerned about the high calorie content of the dish. Looking at the menu online ahead of time, the only reasonable option appeared to be the Ensenada Chicken Platter. I wasn’t sure it’d be tasty, but for less than 400 calories, it was wonderful and satisfying. It was two chicken breasts with a variety of sauces and a garden salad. I really enjoyed it, and several of my family members thought it looked so nice they want to try it again. (I tried the garlic parmesan broccoli, too…It was a tiny piece, I didn’t like the flavour, and it was quite oily for what was supposed.
Next week, I’ll be in a similar circumstance where we have to eat out, but I’m hoping to have some say over which restaurant we choose. It made me wonder what everyone’s favourite low-calorie meal was at other chain eateries. It would be helpful to have a reservoir of knowledge to assist us make excellent decisions even when we don’t have much option about which restaurant to go to. There’s also Red Robin. I order the impossible burger on a lettuce wrap with no mayonnaise. But I also receive fries. It’s an excellent once-a-month supper.
McDonald’s medium fries have approximately 300 calories. I just get it whenever I have a craving.
Two crispy tacos at Chipotle are only about 400 calories.
Beef broccoli is very delicious. I always ordered it with Beijing meat until I discovered how many calories Beijing beef has. The Beijing beef dominated the entire meal.
At Taco Bell, I order the chicken power bowl with no rice and no avocado ranch, with extra lettuce. It’s 400 calories.
Panda Express string bean chicken with half steamed rice and half extra vegetables contains 420 calories.
My go-to is a 6-ounce sirloin with broccoli. Most chain restaurants offer some variant of this. I’ll add some grilled prawns at Longhorn or Outback. Actually, I really enjoy this dinner.
Chick fil A has good macros but isn’t “low calorie”. I got a 12 count grilled nugget, a standard chicken sandwich, and a Coke Zero. 640 calories and 66 grammes of protein. I will take those macros all day.
