Sup Guys, I recently went to Red Robin with my family. It wasn’t really my choice, and I was concerned about the high-calorie options there. After checking the menu online beforehand, the only reasonable item seemed to be the Ensenada Chicken Platter. I wasn’t sure how it would taste, but at just under 400 calories, it turned out to be delicious and filling. The dish included two chicken breasts with some sauces and a garden salad. I really enjoyed it, and some of my family members said it looked so good they want to try it next time.
I also tried the garlic parmesan broccoli, but it was a tiny portion, the flavor was off, and it was quite greasy for something that was supposed to be “80 calories.” I didn’t finish it because it wasn’t worth it.
Next week, I’ll be in a similar situation where we have to eat out, but I’m hoping to have some influence on the restaurant choice. This got me wondering about everyone’s favorite low-calorie dishes at other chain restaurants. It would be great to have a pool of knowledge to help make good choices, even when we don’t have much say in where we’re eating.
What do you pick when you’re going out and want to stay on track? What’s your favorite low-calorie meal at your favorite chain restaurant?
