Why aren't I losing weight?

I work out for 2+ hours every day, six days a week. I eat healthily. My doctor claims my blood testing is completely normal. Why can’t I lose weight? What are you people doing?

I am in the same boat. I’m in a calorie deficit of 1200-1500, counting everything, tracking what I eat, and working out a couple times per week. Still not losing weight. Blood work came back normal. I don’t know what to do anymore. It’s quite stressful. Hopefully, someone on here knows something.

Do you weigh or measure everything you eat and drink?

Can you write everything you ate and drank yesterday, including the quantities and calories?

Do you use a smartwatch to track calories out, or did you calculate your BMR and include certain activities?

Divide your 1500 calories each day into six smaller servings rather than three. This will increase your metabolism. Make sure to eat plenty of leafy green veggies and lean proteins. Avoid consuming LDL fats and oils. It wouldn’t harm to consult your doctor about an appetite suppressant such as diethylpropion.

I was able to shed twenty pounds by doing this.

Are you taking medications for mental health? These can interfere with weight loss efforts. Do not modify anything without talking to your shrink.

Two hours a day, six days a week, is quite a bit. Do you lift weights? You could be gaining muscle mass, particularly if you are not in a deficit.

For me, intermittent fasting has been life-changing. Literally, it’s been a lifestyle change, and I’ve lost weight quickly and painlessly. Try the applications; I use Simple.

Working out for more than two hours per day?! That seems excessive. Are you just hanging out at the gym and resting too much? Shorter, faster workouts are sometimes preferable, but this is not always the case. I’m not an expert, but instead of spending too much time at the gym, I’d do more research on workouts. It appears that 2+ hours could be harmful rather than beneficial. Look into it, I suppose. Speak to a trainer. Find out more about that.

If you’re a woman, I’d recommend getting your blood work done to see if your hormones are in balance. A friend of mine couldn’t lose weight despite a calorie deficit and exercise, so she had her hormones tested, and they were all out of whack. Once she had that under control, the extra weight just slipped off.

Eating healthily is beneficial, but it does not ensure that you are in a calorie deficit.

Try measuring your calories and reducing your calorie consumption to achieve weight loss.
