Eating only raw veggies... is this a good idea?

So today, I ate about 20 raw carrots.

That was literally everything I ate, and my stomach hasn’t grumbled much, probably because of how full I am from all those carrots.

Is it okay to just eat raw veggies for a whole day? Or could this lead to some problems later on (like overeating in a few days)?

(My body has some fat it can use, so I’m not too worried.)

Eating raw vegetables is fine and can be sustainable. But only eating raw vegetables all day is not a good idea and not sustainable.

Don’t do this. It’s unhealthy for both your body and mind. It’s better to focus on eating balanced meals that have protein and fiber. Track your calories and nutrition. Get 10,000 steps a day.

Being too strict with what you eat will definitely backfire – you’ll not only fail, but you’ll also be miserable. You deserve to feel better. :muscle:

@Dallas
I actually walked 20K steps today :sweat_smile:

I wasn’t trying to deprive myself of other foods, nor did I feel like I was missing anything. It just happened that way :blush:

Tomorrow I’ll have some salad :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

You’re going to look more orange than Trump if you keep eating that many carrots every day from all that beta-carotene.

If you eat too many carrots, you might turn orange – it’s called carotenemia. Don’t do it. But is a plant-based diet sustainable? Absolutely. Check out r/veganfitness for lots of advice. If you’re into veggies and legumes, there are big communities and plenty of vegan resources. Personally, I recommend Dr. Esselstyn’s heart-healthy diet, but there are lots of options. Let me know if you need help.

@Brandy
LOL, well, I’m super pale, so maybe a natural orange hue would actually be flattering? :joy::joy::joy:

You should eat a variety of veggies, nuts, beans, lentils, and fruits.

Like someone mentioned earlier, eating raw veggies is fine, but ONLY eating raw veggies is a big NO. If you’re looking to lose weight, remember the big three. Every meal should have fiber, protein, and carbs. (Start with fiber, then protein, then carbs, and stop when you’re about 70% full – this will help you eat more fiber and protein while keeping carbs low.)

Your body needs energy to burn fat, so make sure you’re getting enough. You’ve got this.

I wouldn’t make this a regular habit haha like others said, moderation is key.

By the way, are you secretly a rabbit? :raccoon:

This will backfire, and you’ll be seeing orange :poop:.

You’re not getting enough protein and you’re missing a lot of essential vitamins and minerals doing this. Your body can’t turn fat into nutrients. This could make you very sick.
