I understand that cutting calories is the first step towards weight loss. I simply don’t know how to acquire a flat tummy. Is there someone who can explain the science behind it in layman’s words, similar to CICO?
Will doing ab exercises from YouTube help me lose weight even if I’m still overweight, or is it just a waste of time?
The only gym I have access to is in my tiny residence. Now that the weather in the UK is decent, I can go for walks. Do I just need to start practicing ab exercises after I finish my weight loss with CICO? or will it be advantageous to begin ab exercises right away?
I weigh 165 pounds at the moment and am 17 feet 4 inches tall.
Unfortunately, despite what many may say, fat cannot be reduced on the spot. Exercises targeting the abs may increase the size of your ab muscles, making them more noticeable at greater body fat percentages, but they won’t actually help you achieve a flat stomach.
Regular walking combined with calorie monitoring and reduction will yield far greater benefits.
All you have to do is reduce your weight until the area around your stomach is less fat. Your genetic makeup will determine when this occurs. The visceral fat that surrounds my hips and stomach is the last to go for me. Whenever I lose weight, it tends to come out of my arms, chest, and face first. The stomach, hips, and thighs appear to appear much later.
@Marie Thank you!! So, when would be a good time to start doing ab workouts? Should I continue losing weight until I’m happy and then start, or start sooner rather than later?
