Is It Okay to Have One Day of Eating Junk?

Hey peeps…

I’m excited to share that I’ve lost 16 pounds so far—woo hoo! But here’s the thing: my birthday is just a few days away, and I really want to let loose and enjoy myself. I’ve been on a calorie deficit for 3 weeks now, and I’m wondering if it would be so bad to just eat whatever I want for one day?

Here’s the plan: I’m going out to dinner at this awesome place, planning to have a steakhouse burger, a salad, asparagus, and water. But I’m also thinking about indulging in a bag of Xtra Hot Cheetos (if I can squeeze it in).

I’ve never felt this motivated before, and I’m scared of losing the progress I’ve worked so hard for. Would one day of eating like this really set me back?

Have fun on your birthday, don’t feel bad about it, and the next day return to your deficit. Since 3500 calories per pound, you would need to overeat to notice a significant change. Happy birthday and have fun! :melting_face:
