Are these fine without sugar? Or are there other bad ingredients in them?
Do you want to be extremely hungry in an hour or so? If you don’t have much time, I recommend refrigerated muesli. 1/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats, 1/4 cup milk, 1 ounce greek yoghurt (any flavour that goes well with what you’re putting in it; I like honey), any flavourings you like: diced apple with cinnamon, blueberries, strawberries, and chocolate chips (watch the calorie count), or (my personal favourite) 1 Tbsp “Just Great Stuff” Organic chocolate peanut butter powder, 1 Tbsp water, and 1/2 sliced banana. Take your chosen components, place them in a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid, screw it on, and shake to blend. Store it in the refrigerator overnight. It’s finished and ready to eat in the morning.
Bacon with egg. Fat and protein are more gratifying, so you won’t want to snack as much. Depending on your calorie deficit, if you can have a full breakfast, put a slice of bread in the toaster and spread a generous amount of avocado on it.
There is nothing particularly “bad” about them, but there is also nothing “good.” Rice Krispies are made from white rice, which is 100% carbohydrate and contains almost no fibre or protein. You normally want to avoid those kind of things since a. they don’t remain with you all morning, and b. they cause your blood sugar to surge quickly, signalling your body to begin accumulating fat.
I’m not doing rice right now; I’m not sure what system you’re on. What are my favourite morning carbs? One of these, with lean protein and low-fat cheese…skinny wheat buns or bagels!
