Losing 18kg in a month?

Hello to all of you. I know this is a strange inquiry, but I was hoping for some guidance. As a filmmaker, I was hired to perform an actor’s photo session; this is not for a business, TV, or movie project. The actor has commissioned it, thus it is exclusive for his use. In order to prepare, the character, who is terminally ill, claims to have shed 18 kg in just one month. To be honest, this seems a little off, and I am worried about the client and the project. Is this weight loss appropriate? Does this sound implausible, or is he exaggerating? Or is this potentially harmful? I am simply trying to find out whether I am overthinking things by getting some basic feedback.

Not until you amputate a limb. A safe and healthy weight loss rate of 1% of body weight per week is recommended.

Kindly look after yourself!

Maybe you starve like literally starve yourself which will also come with a lot of heaslth issues. I still doubt though
