Struggling with Face Fat After Weight Loss – Any Tips?

Hi everyone,

The past seven or so months, I’ve managed to lose 40 lbs! I’ve been working out every day and watching what I eat very carefully. I’ve gone from around 230 lbs to 188 lbs, and I’m really proud of the progress I’ve made.

However, for some reason, my face has not caught up to the rest of my body. I feel like my face is still so puffy, and it’s really aggravating. I know the body loses fat differently in different places and that there’s not much you can do to specifically target face fat, but if anyone has any tips, please let me know. Is there anything I can even do?

Congratulations on your weight loss achievement! It’s true that fat loss can occur unevenly, and the face often takes time to catch up with the rest of your body. While you can’t target face fat specifically, you can try a few strategies to help reduce puffiness and enhance your overall appearance. Staying well-hydrated and reducing sodium intake can help manage water retention, which might contribute to a puffy appearance. Incorporating facial exercises or massages might also improve muscle tone and circulation. Maintaining a healthy diet and regular exercise regimen will support continued overall fat loss, which should eventually reflect in your face as well. Sometimes, changes in the face can take longer to become noticeable, so try to be patient and continue with your healthy lifestyle habits.

Well, you should wait unless it’s a true “moon face” issue.

over the past few months I almost lost 10kg (22 pounds?) and the only thing i did was have a healthier diet. me personally, I used to eat a lot and I could never stop being hungry, so overtime i slowly started to eat less and managed to loose unwanted weight. I was 60kg (132 pounds? sorry if im mistaken) and now I’m 51kgs (112pounds) and It might not seem like that much of a difference but even with only a healthier diet I lost a lot of unnecesary face fat and you might too

Drink loads of water, if you eat a lot and often like me get yourself used to slowing yourself down and lastly, if you dont move much during the day do some walking, not just because of the sake of loosing weight but taking some time off for yourself too.
