Tattoo Ideas to Celebrate Weight Loss?

I’ve wanted a tattoo for a few years, but I want something special. I’ve chosen to acquire something to commemorate hitting my ideal weight when I get there. My two ideas so far are to use the quote “Without struggle, there is no progress” or to create a star design with one star representing 10 pounds lost.

Does anyone have any weight loss tattoos or tattoo ideas?

I’m a tattooed dude. I like the term; it has numerous meanings in life, not simply weight loss. I can image you getting it on your inner forearm (not the girliest location), having a bad day, looking down at your tattoo to read it, making a fist, and saying “fuck yeah, I got this”

Although I’m not a big fan of tattoos (they look great on others, but not on me), this is a really fascinating idea. Having something permanent on your body to represent weight loss may act as a persistent reminder to maintain that weight loss, especially if it is in a location you see several times throughout the day.

Get a tattoo of a tape measure around your waist. It should display the inches 1 through 28 (or whatever size you want your waist to be). If you grow larger again, you can use an actual tape measure to measure 50 inches, for example. Then you realise you need to lose 22 inches to reach your target again:-) Practical, yes.

My sister-in-law shed 100 pounds and got an excellent tattoo of the triathlon sign (she now tris) and her starting weight, 330, to remind herself that she never wants to go back.

I’m not a tattoo person, but a simple concept I had once was that if I ever achieved a goal or healthy weight, I’d have tally marks showing how many years I was overweight. Like how long you were imprisoned in that body and are now free.
