I had my first child four years ago and suffered from severe postpartum depression. Long story short, I did not take care of myself. I need to reduce 50 pounds, primarily from my apron belly. Ideally, I’d like to reduce 50 pounds by developing excellent habits that I can maintain over time. I shed 30 pounds over the last year, but I keep regaining and losing the same 10 pounds. I started kickboxing and have been doing more cardio and weightlifting. I’ve been trying to eat healthier… Long story short, does anyone have any suggestions for especially getting rid of my apron belly? Was there anything else I could be doing/targeting exercise and diet-wise?
The only method to lose weight is to sustain a calorie deficit. Building muscle helps speed up ‘fat burning,’ but food is the most important aspect in weight management.
If you haven’t already, consult your doctor to see if your hormonal levels are normal. The position of the fat may signal hormonal imbalances or metabolic problems, making weight loss more difficult if left untreated.
If you are fine and do not require any medicine, you may still benefit from focussing on rebuilding your metabolism to make the rest of the journey simpler (hopefully). People employ ketosis and/or fasting to achieve this. Also, get some exercise, primarily through walks. However, regardless of the diet you choose, the calorie deficit will cause you to lose weight.
Remember that a good night’s sleep is very crucial for weight loss.
Remember, you’re still growing; you’ll expand up, which will most likely absorb any loose skin. You should control what you eat now, exercise regularly, and sleep well, unlike most teenagers, and things will fall into place.
Gain sufficient weight. When you first start gaining weight, your stomach will only swell outwards somewhat, but gravity will cause your tummy to droop down, giving you a “Mother’s apron” as you describe it. Butter, cheese, and fatty meat are the ideal foods to acquire belly fat. Is this some kind of feederism thing?
Autophagy.
Autophagy is the cell’s natural, controlled, destructive mechanism for removing superfluous or malfunctioning components.
Intermittent fasting and some supplements have been proven to enhance this impact in the body.
On a side note, when I fasted for two days, all of my warts (not that I had many!) disappeared, and my skin was free of acne.
Exercises and stretches, cardio workouts, and yoga are all effective fat burners.
Consult a doctor before consulting a plastic surgeon, physical therapist, certified dietitian, or physical trainer.
How can I achieve a smaller waist and lose belly fat at the same time?
Consume high-protein meals, CUT SUGAR, Intermittent Fasting (IF), CUT SUGAR, consume fewer carbs, particularly processed carbs, CUT SUGAR, and exercise.
You can’t spot reduce fat, therefore you’ll have to drop weight all over. Guess what? The tummy is typically the final area you will lose it.
It’s all about lowering your body fat percentage with proper nutrition and activity.
