Hello, fellas I have been taking prednisone for about a month, and it looks like I will need to continue for at least another two months. Normally, I do not overeat or have strong cravings, but this medication is making me constantly hungry, especially for chocolate, bread, and milk. I am always hungry, even waking up and going to bed hungry. Eating only stops the hunger for about an hour before my stomach starts growling again.
I was around 130 lbs before starting prednisone, and now I think I am around 140 lbs. I can not do much exercise beyond short walks, as physical activity worsens my pain and fever. Has anyone else experienced this with prednisone?
There is no denying that prednisone increases appetite. You can rely on volume eating, which involves consuming greater amounts of low-calorie foods like vegetables, or you can focus on changing your mentality to recognize the feeling as hunger brought on by a side effect of medicine and practice resisting the impulse to eat.
my mum has been on medication to cut weight she was advised by her doctor, that ,Prednisone is a potent medication, and it’s crucial to address its side effects under the supervision Collaborating with them and adhering to these suggestions can help reduce the impact of increased appetite while on prednisone.
Is prednisone causing hunger? You are not by yourself! Similar urges are experienced by many. To feel filled for longer, concentrate on fruits and vegetables. Consult your doctor about controlling your appetite.
