Please help! I’m a (23 F) nurse attempting to shed about 40 pounds. I need simple, low-calorie, high-protein meals that will keep me full at work while preventing me from snacking on all of the junk that comes in!
I normally eat skinless chicken breast, which is high in protein and low in calories, making it a diet mainstay.
Ricotta. Ricotta is a coagulated whey-based dairy product, not a cheese. It’s basically just protein and water, with almost no fat and very little sugar.
I favour seafood, cottage cheese, eggs, chicken, and soy, which are all low-calorie, high-protein foods. However, you may wish to investigate super foods as well. Spirulina has more than 50 grammes of protein per 100g.
Fish is a fantastic option; it is a little more expensive, but it is better than chicken or any other red meat, especially if you want protein with few calories. I hope this helps. Stay healthy. Cheers!
Beans of all kinds, eggs, non-fat dairy products, lean meats such skinless chicken and turkey, and lean seafood like unbreaded prawns, cod, tilapia, flounder and haddock.
For breakfast, I usually have milk and cottage cheese. Milk is a well-known source of high protein, but make sure you drink slim milk because it contains the least amount of fat.
I’m sure you’re aware that high protein foods include pork, fish, chicken, avocado, almonds, and egg yolks. For cereal, I favour quinoa because it can replace carbohydrates such as pasta and rice.
