What are the differences between TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) and EER (Estimated Energy Requirement)?

I’m hoping someone can clarify something for me. I’m seeing a significant difference between two concepts related to the calories needed to maintain weight.

I use the ‘MyNetDiary’ app to track my calories. According to the app, my BMR is 2110, which matches other online calculators I’ve used. However, when it comes to my Weight Maintenance Calories, the app shows 3,150, which is vastly different from what I get using other online calculators for my TDEE.

Upon further investigation, it seems the app uses a formula for Estimated Energy Requirement (ERR), while the online calculator I found gives me a figure around 2,532.

Can anyone shed light on the discrepancy between these numbers?

hi sister, check the difference,Typically, TDEE is seen as more precise for many individuals, especially those who lead active lifestyles or aim to manage their weight effectively. However, EER can serve as a useful initial estimate, especially for beginners in calorie tracking or individuals with a predominantly sedentary routine.
