Has anyone tried it? What are your thoughts about it? Is it a hoax, or does it work? I mean, I’ve seen people use it, but I’m not sure if it genuinely works or if those that use it are simply saying it does because they’re paid to say so, you know? I considered saving up and buying it, but I don’t want to waste money on something that doesn’t work.
I hula hoop for approximately 5 hours each week with a 3lb hula hoop. I’ve developed a lot of core strength, but it’s probably not very beneficial for weight loss. It’s a pleasant activity, but it burns roughly the same amount of calories as going for a walk, if I recall correctly.
You’re asking questions that don’t have clear solutions. “Does it work?” It will develop core muscles and burn calories, but not as many as running. It’s just a sort of exercise, and if you enjoy it and do it on a regular basis, it will be effective. However, this is neither an hour-long weightlifting workout or a marathon run.
I had one maybe 15 years ago; it was difficult. It stung too. It was so big that I gave it away to a buddy! My advice is to trial before buying. My gym had these, which helped me decide which weight to buy. Also, make sure you have enough room to use it—my house is small, so there were only a few places I could hoop without hitting a lamp or a dog.
I had one approximately a year ago. I used it every day for months since it was fun! But I didn’t lose any weight. Any movement is preferable to none, so find something you enjoy and pursue it. However, as others have mentioned, if you’re attempting to lose weight, nutrition is more important than exercise.
I’ve tried the weight loss hula hoop, and while it’s a great way to incorporate movement into your routine, I wouldn’t use it as a primary tool for considerable weight loss.
Speaking from my experience, I’ve discovered that incorporating a balanced diet and frequent workouts into my regimen has been the most successful approach to reduce weight. I’ve also tried this fat loss supplement, and it’s helped my weight reduction.
I will mention that I’ve been using the infinity hoop for 2 and a half weeks, anywhere from 40-60 minutes each day (diet remains unchanged), and I’ve gained 3 pounds, and the hoop feels the same around my waist (not looser, as I thought). Unless there is a significant loss in the next week and a half, I will not remove the one link after four weeks of 30 minutes a day, as the marketing says. It’s honestly pleasant and easy; you can do it while watching TV or listening to a podcast, but if you’re looking for weight loss, I’d prefer getting a stationary bike or treadmill.
