What is the best exercise for me to lose weight?
Consistently eating fewer calories than you burn. This is the only true way to lose weight and can do it without breaking a sweat. Stopped over eating and haven’t started working out yet but already dropped 8 lbs.
I do agree with you, Mary. I used to overeat too, sometimes even to the point of full-blown bulimia, but nowadays I’m much more in control. I wish you luck and caution when attending events such as parties.
Walk at least 5000 every day and stay consistent.
Get your heart pumping with vigorous activities like running, swimming laps, or high-energy dance classes. Strength training can involve weights, machines, resistance bands, or even bodyweight exercises like rock climbing!
Diet is so much more crucial that it could as well be the only factor. You will lose weight if you eat less than you burn, and exercise doesn’t really matter that much. The statistics are very astounding: to burn off one cookie, an aggressive conditioning circuit must be used, etc.
Regardless of what you do or how you do it, regular exercise and modifying your lifestyle to incorporate less sedentary behavior (such as walking more or using the stairs) rank second and third, respectively.
The third factor is the type of exercise: cardio alone is not as efficient at changing metabolism as strength and conditioning work.
The fourth distant is when you work out.
