What's the greatest and most accurate fitness watch?

I’m starting my weight reduction journey and want the most accurate fitness wristband I can find to track both my physical activity and other health information.

I’ve been considering the Fitbit Charge 5 (although many reviews suggest it breaks easily) and the Versa 2 (which has mixed reviews and is an older model, so how accurate is it really?) Some others have received mixed reviews, to say the least.

I would welcome any advise and would like to know which fitness tracker wristbands have worked best for you.

I’ve been using Fitbits since they were first introduced. If you browse the internet, you will notice a lot of bad reviews. The truth is that there are as many individuals who love them as there are who despise them. If you’re shopping for a Fitbit, preorder the Charge 6 or purchase the Charge 5 at a low price. My best friend is still alive thanks to the Charge 5 identifying unusual heart rate spikes. He was able to show his doctor and was scheduled for open heart surgery within a week. If you’re looking at the Versa, I’d recommend the Versa 4, just because it’s newer and better supported.

One thing to keep in mind is that no two watches will produce the same results in terms of calories burned. I’ve owned or own an Apple Watch, multiple Fitbits, and a Garmin, and they all differ greatly. For example, I’ll wear one watch on my left wrist and another on my right, and the difference in calories at the end of the day will be hundreds.

They are a good starting point for estimating your calories out, but you should always compare them to actual outcomes over time. For me, the Apple Watch has the most projected calories out, followed by Fitbit, then Garmin, and the Fitbit has been the most accurate in comparing my calories in/out and weight changes.

I have a Garmin, which is fantastic except for measuring sleep. Both the Fitbit and the Apple watch are superior for sleep.

If you’re serious about heart and lung health, want to start running, or want to track your VO2Max, acquire the Garmin.

If you want a smartwatch with fitness features, choose the Apple.

If you only need a simple fitness watch, get the Fitbit.

I myself own a Vertu (square music edition). When I researched it, it appeared to have received the finest overall evaluations. And the Garmin app is good. It’s ideal for tracking my running. However, it is so bad at sleep tracking that there is little use in doing it. They all do, with the exception of Whoop, which is not a watch.
