I am not sure why, but I always assumed that spirits like vodka were practically calorie-free. I was so wrong! And I mean, really, really incorrect. One of the least calorically dense alcoholic beverages is vodka, which has roughly 100 calories per SHOT! This realization has me in disbelief.
Did I have the only misperception there was? If yes, how did you manage to balance your limit with the odd drink? What about when you and your friends go out for drinks?
As I already knew, it is the same for all other beverages, such as beer. However, I assumed that spirits would not have any calories at all. I can no longer truly savor my whisky guilt-free! Oh no. Though I am not sure why I ever considered it in the first place, I still find it hard to believe.
