Incline Walking Feels Like Cheating

I received a treadmill with a television in front of it. I put on a movie, reduce the speed to about 3 MPH, give or take, and increase the inclination. Half an hour passes with little notice, and by the end, I’ve burned 400-500 calories. I have been doing this every other day.

I understand the treadmill’s calorie meter isn’t quite precise, but if that’s even close, I think I’ll make it.
I’m a 6’1" male who gained a lot of weight throughout COVID, married, and then never managed to lose it. I don’t have the knees to run like I used to, so I enjoy low-impact cardio. I also have small children, so spending a lot of time away from home at a gym or pool is not ideal for either my children or my wife.

I understand that my body will adapt to incline walking over time, so I simply up the slope even higher to ensure that I work up a sweat. I also wear a Fitbit to maintain a heart rate in the 160s.
