I fast every day at a ratio of 23:1. I only eat one 400-calorie sub a day since I work at Subway. Recently, a buddy who is aware of my fasting gave me some Slim fast as a practical joke gift. Is this a practical choice? Two of those would have the same calories as my sandwich because they are 180 calories each. Have any of you used Slimfast before?
Overall, the lower calorie SlimFast meal replacements left me feeling hungry, and when it came time for me to eat my meal replacement, I felt disappointed and annoyed about not being able to eat real food. I craved real food and being restricted to the meal replacements made me feel depressed over time.
SlimFast can be an effective short-term weight loss solution, especially for those who need convenience and structure. However, for long-term success, it’s important to consider how to transition to a more sustainable, balanced diet that includes a variety of whole foods. As with any diet plan, it’s always a good idea to consult with a healthcare professional or a registered dietitian to ensure it’s the right fit for your individual needs and health goals.
